Life is exhausting, confusing and questionable. We constantly question our decisions, our options, and even our beliefs. However, learning to trust yourself and living your life the way you want is the greatest gift of all, if you do it right. Here are some quotes to live by:
“Maybe all one can do is hope to end up with the right regrets.”
– Arthur Miller (American Playwright)
All throughout your life, you do things you know are wrong. They may not be catastrophic choices that get you into some sort of trouble, but even the smallest things could leave you disappointed in yourself. Throughout your life, you will make mistakes; everyone does. All you can do is try to have no real regrets; just ones that you can accept. Part of this means that you learn from your mistakes. So when you are deciding to do something that you know is wrong, think about what Arthur Miller is saying, and hope that if you do decide to make a mistake, you will have the right regrets.
“Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint on it you can.”
– Danny Kaye (American Actor, Singer, and Comedian)
Life is short, and it’s yours, so do all you can before it ends. You are your own person with your own life and you can choose to do whatever you want with it. Life really is one big canvas, and you should try to do as many things as you can to live your life to the fullest. Act as if each day is your very last. What would you do?
“To live remains and art which everyone must learn, and which no one can teach.”
– Havelock Ellis (British Physician and Social Reformer)
Life is a series of lessons. Every day you learn something new and expand your knowledge. Doing things yourself is the only way you truly get experience. With experience, you can learn. No one can teach anyone else exactly “how’ to live because it’s simply impossible. One must learn from their own mistakes and learn how to live their own life. So go out there and take matters into your own hands! There’s no manual for this one…
“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life. It goes on.”
– Robert Frost (American Poet)
You don’t have that much time in your life when you think about how fast it goes by. Frost suggests that you should not waste your time worrying about something because life does go on. Some things that seem so big to us, like a bad test grade or a fight with a friend, seem very small when we look back. Don’t waste precious time in your life worrying about something, or being upset about an event, because life does go on; and there could be bigger and better things in the future.
